Goodbye BC, hello Alberta!

I have now reached Canmore, and was able to go to Calgary to upgrade my electronics, so I am connected again and able to share the stories and pictures. I accumulated enough stories for more than one blog post: here is the first one! Techno-failure

Well, so much for relying on technology for photos, communications and navigating.  Works well until…  it doesn’t work! My phone died yesterday, so I am now traveling old style without being able to communicate easily until I reach a town big enough to get a new phone.  So it may take a few days before I can update my blog again.  I am now in McBride, a couple days away from Jasper, then Banff, and Canmore. After many weeks of riding in fairly remote places, the last few days have been quite different.  I now ride from one town to another, traveling lighter as I don’t need to carry as much food and water.
